Heir to four generations of fine eyewear craftsmen, Gérard Vuillet has managed his prestigious company since 1976. He has created exclusive frames, true treasures of imagination easily recognizable by their distinctive style. For him, a frame is a creation, the unique marriage of shape and matter that gives each final product a living personality.
Vuillet Vega's international reputation is the result of 150 years of outstanding performances and Vuillet Vega frames are now sold in 94 countries. Vuillet Vega frames have two hallmarks guaranteed by the French government. One for gold plate and one for solid gold. Vuillet Vega received its consecration from his peers in 1994 with the designation of the Silver Trophy of the First International Grand Prix of fashion, and in 1996 with the gold Silmo. 
In 1997 Vuillet Vega was voted by the French Opticians the Pont d'Or for the finest sevice and the Pont d'Argent for quality.
Gérard Vuillet always followed a basic concept: "always provide your customers with the unexpected." This was the rock on which he founded his business and the idea behing his whole business strategy.
As a marketing man he realised that even the best ideas cannot be translated into reality without serious thought. 
For this reason he presented his first collections to a limited circle of the most critical professionals, allowing him to put the final touches to his finished collection.
